Casper Area Chamber Of Commerce: Casper Housing Authority Breaks Ground On Liberty Square Apartments

Casper – The Casper Housing Authority is pleased to announce the ground breaking of the Liberty Square Apartments. Casper Housing Authority will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 10 AM. Event parking is limited and the ceremony is closed to the general public. Liberty Square is the culmination of the Casper Housing Authority repositioning plan, the 2019 Community Health Improvement plan goals, set by Healthier Natrona County and the City of Casper City Council goals, for affordable and workforce housing.

Located at 1082 S. Beverly St, the Liberty Square Apartments is a 60-unit complex comprising one, two, three, and four-bedroom units. In addition, twenty-five units will house families and individuals through project-based vouchers, while the other 35 units will provide workforce housing.  The project will consist of three buildings, including a community building, in the center of the complex. Amenities include a workout gym, walking paths, playground, community gardens and an onsite computer lab.

“With the addition of Liberty Square, Casper Housing Authority will own or manage 345 properties,” said Kim Summerall-Wright, Executive Director of Casper Housing Authority.  “This project is the next step in our goal of providing safe, affordable housing to the people we serve in the Casper community.”

The Liberty Square Apartments was made possible by the Casper Housing Authority, City of Casper, WCDA, and HUD.
