Natrona County : Reclamation Announces Temporary Water Release Using Alcova Spillway For Maintenance

This action is necessary to accommodate scheduled maintenance activities in the power plant. The river flow between Alcova and Gray Reef Dams will continue to be about 450 cubic feet per second (cfs), as it has been all winter.

This water operation will begin January 12, and last until the end of March. All releases from Alcova Dam will be stored in Glendo Reservoir. When repairs are completed, the releases will again be made through the Alcova Power Plant.
