Cheyenne Judge Ronn Jeffrey Retires After 50 Years Of Service (kgab.com) — Cheyenne’s longtime Juvenile Court Judge Ronn Jeffrey is retiring after more than 50 years serving local youth, but will stay involved by leading a new task force on juvenile justice ordinances. City leaders credit him with founding Youth Alternatives and helping tens of thousands of Cheyenne kids and families through innovative, accountability-focused approaches.
   

2. Laramie County man charged with aggravated assault in road rage incidents (capcity.news) — Cheyenne police arrested a 24-year-old Laramie County man after multiple drivers reported a red SUV driving aggressively and allegedly brandishing a handgun around Central Avenue, Yellowstone Road, and East Lincolnway. Officers say the situation escalated into a physical confrontation outside a Deming Boulevard home before they stopped the vehicle nearby, recovered a loaded handgun, and took the suspect into custody. He remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
   

3. Wind-Fueled Fire Burns Everything Cheyenne Family Owns, Including Presents (cowboystatedaily.com) — A south Cheyenne family lost their entire home, three vehicles, and all their Christmas presents when a wind-driven fire tore through their Laramie County house early Tuesday morning. Everyone escaped safely after their son raised the alarm, but they’re now relying on relatives and basic essentials while investigators work to determine what sparked the blaze.
   

4. Better Together names Allen Chapel AME pastor, volunteers and partners as award recipients (wyomingnews.com) — Allen Chapel AME’s pastor, volunteers, and partners in Cheyenne have been honored with the Better Together Community Connections Award for extensive work feeding and supporting local people in need. Their programs include regular hot meals, homeless kits, a weekday day center, and transportation to services, all based out of Allen Chapel’s Fellowship Hall and nearby Martin Luther King Jr. Park.
   

5. Laramie County commissioners approve Canyon Ridge Road name change, grant delay for The Life (capcity.news) — Laramie County commissioners in Cheyenne have postponed a decision on The Life, a proposed four-lot residential subdivision off the I‑25 Service Road, pushing the hearing to Jan. 20. They also unanimously approved renaming Vada Rae Court to Canyon Ridge in Lone Tree Ridge Estates, meaning at least one nearby resident will see a formal address change.
