The list ranges from DUI and drug possession to assault, probation violations, and failure to appear, and everyone named is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
   

2. Former Boot Camp Inmate Sues, Claims Permanent Damage From Excessive Exercise (cowboystatedaily.com) — A federal lawsuit filed in Cheyenne claims a former youthful offender at Wyoming State Penitentiary suffered permanent kidney damage after being forced through hours of intense exercise without proper medical care. The case, tied to a Laramie County conviction, alleges negligence and unconstitutional treatment by corrections officials and could influence how similar boot camp-style programs are run statewide.
   

3. Wyoming Plans Future Of Rail As Five-Year Streak Without Train V. Car Death Ends (cowboystatedaily.com) — Cheyenne could see passenger rail return within the next few decades, as a new study narrows potential station sites to Old Happy Jack Road and the Reed Avenue Corridor and urges the city to stay engaged with regional rail planning. At the same time, WYDOT is asking residents statewide to weigh in online through Jan. 31 on rail safety and future passenger service after a recent fatal train-vehicle crash east of Cheyenne.
   

4. Two of the alleged ‘Four Horsemen' plead out in arson case (capcity.news) — Two young defendants have pleaded guilty in connection with a May 28 fire that destroyed a vacant home on Ridge Road in Cheyenne, with a third suspect set for a change-of-plea hearing next month. Prosecutors say video and surveillance footage link four teens to the blaze, and restitution for the $147,000 loss could be shared among them while one defendant’s competency is still under review.
   

5. Wyoming Cutt-Slam breaks record in 2025 (oilcity.news) — From Cheyenne, state wildlife officials are celebrating a record 210 anglers completing Wyoming’s Cutt-Slam challenge in 2025, highlighting strong interest in native cutthroat trout. The long-running program, created to boost awareness of trout conservation, has now recognized 2,766 anglers from nearly every state and several countries with certificates, decals, and medallions.
