Laramie County Sheriff's Office honors personnel at awards banquet (wyomingnews.com) — Cheyenne-area law enforcement just honored 99 Laramie County Sheriff’s Office staffers for lifesaving actions, major investigations, and keeping courts and the jail running safely. From stopping suicides in the detention center to using tourniquets and AEDs in emergencies and working alongside Cheyenne Police, the awards highlight how local deputies and medical staff are protecting residents every day.

2. Laramie County's Holiday Push Against Drunk Driving Risks (kgab.com) — If you’re going out in Cheyenne or anywhere in Laramie County this holiday weekend, local deputies and other agencies are stepping up patrols to catch drunk drivers. The sheriff’s office is reminding residents that even a first DUI can mean jail time, steep fines, license suspension, and an ignition interlock, and urges using rideshares, designated drivers, or reporting impaired drivers via 911 or REDDI.

Former Cheyenne resident Jacqueline Esquibel accomplished her goal of running in Ironman World Championships (wyomingnews.com) — Cheyenne readers can celebrate one of their own as former resident Jacqueline Esquibel finally realized her 15-year dream of racing in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Now living in Denver, she qualified after a surprise podium finish in Lake Placid and went on to place in the top 100 of her age group, crediting family support and relentless training for the achievement.

State releases Economic Summary Report for the third quarter of 2025 (wyomingnews.com) — From Cheyenne, state economists report Wyoming’s job market is holding steady, with low unemployment and modest job growth despite a slump in mining and taxable sales. Tourism around Yellowstone and Grand Teton remains strong, housing prices keep inching up, and higher investment income plus firmer natural gas revenues are boosting state finances heading into 2026.
