Arrest Made In Deadly East Birmingham Shooting
Birmingham police have arrested a man and charged him with the murder of 30-year-old Ladarius Bloxom.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Birmingham police have made an arrest in a deadly shooting that occurred in east Birmingham Sunday. The shooting claimed the life of 30-year-old Ladarius Bloxom.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said Ladarius Hayes of Birmingham was arrested and charged with capital murder. Hayes is being held in Jefferson County Jail without bond.
The shooting occurred just after 1 p.m. in the 2900 Block of Gallant Drive. East Precinct officers found Bloxom dead on the scene outside an apartment complex.

The investigation suggests that Hayes and Bloxom were in an argument with each other before Bloxom was shot, Mauldin said.
