- Birmingham Water Works is hosting its first-ever job fair to fill 100 jobs. The company will be looking to fill roles including meter readers, customer service representatives, engineers, and executive assistants. The fair will take place at the Harbert Center in downtown Birmingham today from 12:00-4:00 p.m. and tomorrow from 9:00-1:00 p.m. (WIAT - CBS42.com)
- After a career spanning more than four decades, a Birmingham culinary legend has announced her retirement. James Beard Award winner Dolester Miles has announced that she will be retiring from chef Frank Stitt's restaurant group.
