- The City of Birmingham has approved a history-making development deal near Lakeshore Parkway in Birmingham. In the deal, about 222 acres of land near Lakeshore Parkway at 1911 Tiger Walk were sold by the city to Green Meadow Apartments for $1.5 million. The development deal is the largest transaction led by an all-African American team in the city’s history. (WBRC)
- High gas prices are having an impact on food truck owners in Birmingham. Small business owners, such as Smoke on Wheels Grille Owner Charles Wilson, have been shelling out more at the gas pump to keep their generators going and their food trucks operating. 1918 Catering CEO Jason Brown is trying to save where he can too, by cutting down on routes and staying on-site longer to make the trip worth it.
