Here are the top three stories in Birmingham today:
- A woman has been arrested in connection with the 2021 domestic killing of a 20-year-old Birmingham man. According to court records, 22-year-old Mercedes Jernae Bryant has been charged with murder in the killing of Donnie Edward Harris, who was shot to death in the Collegeville area on Nov. 24, 2021. Bryant turned herself in on Monday at the Jefferson County Jail, where she remains held on a $500,000 bond. (AL.com)
- Free exercise classes are coming to Railroad Park next week. Beginning Mar. 14, free classes designed to meet varied fitness levels and preferences will begin as a part of the park's Get Healthy on the Railroad series. Classes will take place Monday through Friday nights at 6:00-7:00 p.m. and will run through Oct. 31. (Birmingham Patch)
- Over a dozen Birmingham City School students were selected to travel on a five-day educational trip to Washington, D.C. On Tuesday, the students hit the friendly skies to travel with the Alabama Black Women's Roundtable. For some students, the trip marked the first time they've traveled on an airplane or visited the nation's capital. (WVTM13 Birmingham)

- The Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) have announced the availability of 30 scholarships for residents in Alabama who want to pursue a technical education certificate or associate degree in programs related to the automotive manufacturing industry.
