Bessemer Officials Set Up Location For Donations After Storm

Bessemer city officials have set up a location for donations and volunteers to help residents recover from Saturday's storm.

BESSEMER, AL - Bessemer city officials have set up a location for donations and volunteers to help residents recover from Saturday's storm. Nearly 70 houses were damaged by the storm, city officials said.

Jonesboro Elementary School will serve as the central location for donations. Donations can be dropped off at the school Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers to help with clean up can call Bessemer City Hall at (205) 424-4060.

City officials said they are still working to clear roads of storm debris.
