Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:
- Hoover firefighters are using a specially equipped safety train to practice emergency response. Springville and Pell City firefighters also participated in the three-day safety training. The training was used to help firefighters learn what to do in case of a train derailment, an important exercise in light of the two derailments within city limits over the past several years. - As news of Montana's ban on TikTok spreads, more avid users of the app have spoken out against the decision. According to a nationwide poll conducted by North Star Inbound, only 18 pecent of users favor the ban in either Montana or nationwide. According to the article, most TikTok users would "rather be spied upon" than lose the app. (Newstalkkgvo)
- Four Hoover High School seniors each received a $4,000 scholarship from the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce. The seniors were chosen out of 25 applicants for their academic achievements and contributions to the local community. Kenzie Boyett, Noah McAfee, Elizabeth Powell, and Neiley Mann were the four winners. (Hoover Sun)
