Former Hoover QB Announces Transfer To Auburn
Former Hoover High School football standout Robby Ashford announced he is transferring to Auburn.

AUBURN, AL — Auburn University and The University of Oregon seem to have traded quarterbacks, as former Oregon Duck Robby Ashford announced he is transferring to Auburn, after former Auburn signal-caller Bo Nix announced weeks ago he was leaving the Plains for Oregon.
Ashford, an All-State quarterback at Hoover before signing with Oregon in the 2020 class, made the announcement on social media Tuesday. While Ashford did not get into any games for the Oregon football team, he did play 20 games for the Ducks on the baseball field. Ashford has four years of eligibility remaining.
Auburn's starter under center for the last three seasons, Pinson Valley High School grad Bo Nix, announced in December he was transferring to Oregon.
