Hoover Has Alabama's Best Deli: Report

HOOVER, AL — Anyone who has lived in the Hoover area for any length of time likely knows about Mr. P's Deli in Bluff Park, but a national culinary website just made the deli a little more famous, ranking it as the best deli in Alabama.

Eat This Not That recently released a report naming the best delis in each state, giving top honors in Alabama to Mr. P's.

Mr. P's, which opened in 1975, has been a staple in the Birmingham metro restaurant scene and one of the most popular eateries in the area for decades.

"Although the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic regions, especially cities like New York City and Philadelphia, are known for having incredible delis, don't count out the options all across the country," Caitlin Flynn wrote in her report.
