Hoover Has A New Board of Education Member
Get to know Hoover City Council's appointee, Kermit Kendrick, to the Board of Education

HOOVER, AL— Kermit Kendrick was appointed to the Hoover Board of Education on Nov. 6 by City Council. He will be taking the seat of Jill Ganus, who stepped down to accept a position with Jefferson County District Court judgeship offered by Gov. Kay Ivey. He will serve out the remaining 2.5 years on the Board.
Kendrick, 50, is no stranger to the Hoover area. He has been a resident for over 15 years, serving the community as an attorney with Burr & Forman. Although many applicants were in the running for Ganus’ open seat, Kendrick won out with his state and federal legal experience, Councilman Derrick Murphy, committee chairman for education, said.
