Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:
- Hoover High School hosted the first-ever TDA Elite 7V7 Tournament, where some of the state's brightest young stars competed. Despite the rainy weather, talented young athletes came to play at the event hosted by Touchdown Alabama and SouthernXpress. Hoover sophomore Jamar Moultrie stole the show in the 18U bracket, helping his team secure the championship as well as securing the MVP award with his stellar performance at DB. (Yardbarker)
- The acclaimed FRONTERAS tour is finally making its way to Hoover next week! The immersive Flamenco experience will take place on Apr. 20 and 21 at The Library Theatre. Tickets for the event are available here. (Hoover Public Library)
- After a wet A-Day scrimmage this past weekend from the Auburn Tigers, coach Hugh Freeze says that he feels better at this point in the process than he did at the beginning of the spring season. Auburn still has a bit of uncertainty about who will be leading the offense this coming fall, but Hoover native Robby Ashford is coming back with the most experience as starting quarterback and appears to have a slight lead over the competition. Coming back as a true freshman, Ashford is said to have come a long way, as coach Freeze has challenged him and the quarterbacks all spring. (On3.com)
