  1. Zaxby's, the popular chicken chain known for its Chicken Fingerz and Zax Sauce, has opened its first franchise-owned, to-go-only restaurant in Hoover. The new restaurant, owned by Chicken Scratch Holdings, Inc., offers drive-thru, to-go, and pick-up options. The to-go concept features a walk-up window, outdoor patio, and expedited service with a double drive-thru layout and digital menu boards. Guests can order ahead online or through the Zaxby's app, and delivery is available via DoorDash, UberEats, and GrubHub. (Franchising.com)
  2. Hoover City Schools is looking towards the future with new leadership, as former Alabama football player Kermit Kendrick takes on the role of school board president. Kendrick aims to maintain the district's academic success and address potential challenges such as capacity issues due to growth.
