Country star Brantley Gilbert's wife gave birth

Brantley Gilbert and his wife, Amber, shared the unexpected story of their son Abram’s birth, which occurred just three days earlier. The country singer made headlines over the weekend when he abruptly left his concert in Mississippi to be with Amber as she delivered their third child on his tour bus. After witnessing the birth, Gilbert returned to finish the show.

Appearing on "Fox & Friends," Gilbert joked about the unusual experience. "I didn’t see this coming," he said. "It was wild." The couple had prepared for such a scenario, traveling with a midwife just in case. However, Amber had shown no signs of imminent labor the night before, so they thought they had more time.

Amber described the fast onset of labor: "One moment, I was reading in bed, and the next, I was calling the midwife," she said. "I just needed to get the baby out – my show had to go on, not his."

The couple had playfully discussed the possibility of the baby arriving during one of Gilbert’s concerts but never believed it would actually happen. "We joked about it, but I never thought it would be real," Gilbert shared. He even teased about holding the baby up on stage like a scene from *The Lion King*.

Amber remained calm throughout the event. "I knew he’d be back quickly," she said. "I had time to clean up and relax with the baby before he returned."

When Gilbert rejoined the crowd that night, he informed fans about the birth and proudly shared that he had been involved in delivering his son. "I got to catch my baby boy," he announced.

The couple revealed that the tour bus holds special meaning since Amber first told Gilbert about her pregnancy there. They officially announced the news on Mother’s Day 2024. Reflecting on their life on the road, Gilbert commented, "A lot happens on that bus – we spend plenty of time there."

Gilbert’s next concert is scheduled for Thursday in Savannah, Georgia.
