Here are the top three stories today in Huntsville:

  1. The Huntsville Police Department is asking the public for help as it investigates a fire that occurred on Sep. 12 at the apartments on Rime Village Drive. Investigators suspect the fire may be possible arson, and they're asking anyone with information to call Investigator Jeremy Woods at 256-746-4136. The fire displaced several residents and injured two people, including a fire fighter. (WHNT)
  2. There will be a recovery resource event called "Breaking Down Barriers" this Saturday, Sep. 23. This event will be held from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at R.O.S.S. Madison County Recovery Community Center and is designed to provide support and resources for people who are impacted by substance abuse disorder, including friends and loved ones. There will be free food, medical screenings, showers, Naloxone, and other resources available to attendees. (HuntsvilleAL.gov)
  3. The Huntsville Career Center is set to host a career fair on Wednesday, Sep. 27 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. This event is being held on behalf of Polaris, which has multiple open positions in all shifts. Available positions include Production Operators, Material Handlers, and Production Welders. Wages start at $18.28 per hour and may increase depending on experience.   • Theatre Huntsville has announced that its upcoming production of "Alabama Story" will be postponed. The elevators at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment are currently inoperable, leaving some volunteers and patrons without access to the building. The box office will be contacting ticket holders.
