Another 580 apartments coming to Huntsville in 3 separate developments (al.com) — Hundreds of new apartments are on the way in Huntsville, with three major complexes totaling 580 units now under construction across the city. The Viola on Research Boulevard, Inspire Apartments off Zierdt Road near the new West Huntsville Recreation Center, and Sutton Estates on Winchester Road headline nearly $196 million in new construction across the region.

Holiday travel continues at Huntsville airport as New Year, Rose Bowl approaches (rocketcitynow.com) — If you’re flying out of Huntsville International for New Year’s or the Rose Bowl, expect bigger crowds and more flight options than last year. Santa Bob continues his mission of spreading cheer after heart attack (whnt.com) — Huntsville’s own “Santa Bob” Boyer is back spreading Christmas cheer 14 years after a life-saving heart transplant, and he says he feels more energetic than ever. From managing a local radio station to leading the Huntsville Ghost Walk and hosting a massive holiday light show at his home, he’s keeping busy while appreciating his second chance at life.

News 19's Adoptable Pet of the Week (whnt.com) — If you’re looking to adopt in Huntsville, meet Spaghetti, a seven‑month‑old tabby featured by the Greater Huntsville Humane Society with her adoption fee already covered. She’s affectionate, playful, a little sassy, and would thrive in a calm home without dogs or small children. Locals can learn more or start the adoption process through the GHHS website.
