Here are the top three stories in Mobile today:

  1. Construction has begun on the $22 million Topgolf complex in Mobile, according to an announcement from the company on Thursday. The former multiplex cinema at the McGowin Park Shopping Center at Interstate 65 and Government Boulevard is being transformed into the state's third Topgolf attraction. It is set to open later this year. (AL.com)
  2. On Wednesday night, a threat was made on social media against Theodore High School, according to the Mobile County Public School System. The situation was handled according to the Student Code of Contact and was promptly resolved. The student who made the threat was quickly identified and it was determined that there is no imminent threat at the high school. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  3. On Tuesday, a man was arrested in California for a 2016 murder at the Warren Inn Apartments. According to a press release, Christopher R. Hodoh, 39, was arrested in Beaumont, California on Jan. 30 for the murder of Darius Mose in Mobile. Hodoh has been extradited to Alabama to face murder charges. (WKRG News 5)
