Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:
- While over 160,000 people headed downtown to the Mardi Gras parade on Saturday, according to the Mobile Police Department, a Mobile police horse took the opportunity to escape. The horse, Trigger, took a slow trot downtown and quite literally stopped traffic. You can watch the video at the. (NBC 15 News)
- Porshina Harris, the mother of the late Zycorreyan Brown-Haris, held a march in Mobile after Zycorreyan's funeral service on Saturday. The 20-year-old was shot and killed in a K&J Beauty Supply in Semmes. Harris called for more awareness of gun violence and to stop gun violence in Mobile County. According to WKRG, there have been six more homicides in Mobile County since Zycorreyan was shot. (WKRG News 5)
- Mobile residents should be aware of potentially dangerous dogs on the loose, specifically those who live in the neighborhood off Ziegler Boulevard and Anders Drive. In a graphic video, a dog is shown being brutally attacked by other loose dogs in the neighborhood. According to neighbors, the dogs have been chasing children as well. (NBC 15 WPMI)

- During the Mardi Gras season, it’s only expected to see the streets of Mobile embellished with colorful, festive decor on every corner.
