Kiwanis Club of Tuscaloosa donates $25,000 to build playground for Freedom Farm

Donnie Grill of the Kiwanis Club of Tuscaloosa presented a donation of $25,000 to Cathy Woods, Executive Director of Freedom Farm.

Donnie Grill of the Kiwanis Club of Tuscaloosa presented a donation of $25,000 to Cathy Woods, Executive Director of Freedom Farm on Monday, December 1st for $25,000 to build the first playground for the Freedom Farm community. Freedom Farm is a foster home for children whose mission is to help make them feel safe, to help guide them in the right path, and give them hope. The playground is planned to be completed by Saturday, December 6th.

Kiwanis is a service organization of men and women whose motto is “Serving the Children of West Alabama and the World”. Freedom Farm has been featured at the last two Kiwanis Pancake Day events, allowing those who attended the fundraiser to become aware of Freedom Farm and their mission.
