Synergic Center To Host 'Eve Of Liberty Christmas' Event In Conjunction With Dickens Downtown

NORTHPORT, AL — The Synergic Center in Northport will host a community event next week celebrating the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday as part of the annual Dickens Downtown festivities.

The free event is titled "Eve of Liberty Christmas" and is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at 3650 5th Street in Northport.

Organizers said visitors will be able to explore Heritage Hall and Freedom Hall, which feature interactive digital exhibits highlighting local and national history.
Local history groups will also be on-site to promote the America 250 initiative.

Officials said the event is being held in conjunction with Dickens Downtown and additional parking for the Christmas event will be available at the Synergic Center, with shuttle service running to downtown Northport.
Owned by Tuscaloosa County, the Synergic Center opened earlier this year and is marketed as a first-of-its-kind facility focused on innovation, education and collaboration.
