UA says individuals may begin the pre-enrollment process and book an appointment online.

“This is an exciting opportunity to serve both our campus community and Tuscaloosa as a whole,” Campus Mail Executive Director Stacy Vaughn said. “Providing access to TSA PreCheck on campus means easier travel preparation and greater visibility for UA as an innovative leader.”

TSA PreCheck allows travelers to keep shoes, belts and light jackets on at security checkpoints and leave electronics and 3-1-1 liquids in carry-on bags.

The TSA says about 99% of members wait less than 10 minutes in screening lines nationwide.

Participants may also pre-enroll online before visiting the UA facility to finalize their application.

UA said a U.S. passport or other accepted identification is required, with no appointment is necessary.
