2 People Killed In Sunday Shootings Are Identified

Dallas Summers and Erick Daniel Rodriguez were the two people killed in Sunday shootings, police say.

PHOENIX, AZ — Erick Daniel Rodriguez, 16, and Dallas Summers, 27, have been identified as the two people killed in separate Sunday shootings, according to Phoenix police.

Phoenix police said they found Rodriguez around 1:40 a.m. near the intersection of Cave Creek Road and Greenway Parkway.

The teen was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said. Rodriguez had left a nearby party that was being broken up shortly before he was shot, police said.

Summers was one of two men who suffered gunshot wounds around 5 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of 44th and Van Buren streets, according to Phoenix police. Summers was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other man was transported to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition as of Monday afternoon, according to police.

Witnesses heard yelling and an argument prior to the shooting, police said.
