Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. Turning Point USA has asked for the City of Phoenix's support in deterring competing organizations from leasing space during the time frame of AmericaFest. The four-day convention will start on Dec. 17 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Turning Point USA listed seven specific organizations by name in the contract. (The Arizona Republic)
  2. The Phoenix Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a fatal stabbing that occurred in Sept. Wilser Creme, 33, is now facing multiple charges that include drug possession and second-degree murder. The stabbing occurred in the area of 27th and Missouri Avenues. Creme will be appearing in court on Thursday. (12news.com KPNX)
  3. Phoenix surgeons report a rise in gallbladder surgeries following the Thanksgiving holiday. The valley's emergency rooms are filling up with residents needing surgery as a result of overeating during the holiday. According to the surgeons, fatty food intake is the main culprit, especially fried turkey. (Arizona's Family)
