AZ Monsoon Comes To End: Rainfall Total In Phoenix Tops 4 Inches

The National Weather Service says Phoenix might have seen its last triple digit day this year, but it's not giving any guarantees.

PHOENIX, AZ — The Monsoon in the Valley is coming to an end with a rainfall total in Phoenix of 4.2 inches, well above the average of 2.43.

On the last day of the 2021 monsoon, the Valley expected to see a mild high of 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

It's possible that the Phoenix area has seen its last triple-digit day of the year, the weather service said in a Facebook post, but it's not making any promises.

Phoenix's last day logging temperatures 100 degrees or above was Sept. 23. The typical last 100-degree day in the city is Oct. 5, according to the weather service.

The latest 100-degree day on record in Phoenix was Oct. 27, 2016.
