AZ Attorney General Asks For Vaccine Mandate Restraining Order
Brnovich says that President Biden's mandate violates the constitutional rights of federal employees, contractors and subcontractors.

PHOENIX, AZ — Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich made another move today in his effort to stop President Joe Biden's nation-wide vaccination mandate for many workers and employers.
Brnovich asked Arizona's U.S. District Court Friday morning to grant a temporary restraining order, basically to stop the mandate from being enforced while Brnovich's case challenging it moves through the court system.
He also amended the language in the original suit he filed in September challenging the mandate, adding that the mandate violated the constitutional rights of federal workers, contractors and subcontractors.

Brnovich said in a news release that the move was a step forward in protecting public university employees, federal employees and contractors from choosing between vaccination or losing their jobs.
“Once a vaccine has been administered, it can never be undone,” Brnovich said in the news release. “The COVID-19 vaccine mandate is one of the greatest infringements upon individual liberty, federalism, and the separation of powers by any administration in our country’s history.”

Biden's vaccine mandate, issued in early September, requires that employees of private businesses with more than 100 workers, federal employees, federal contractors and subcontractors, and virtually all healthcare providers be vaccinated for COVID-19 or risk losing their jobs.
