AZ Gov. Doug Ducey Will Not Seek US Senate Seat This Year: Report
Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey reportedly told donors in a letter he will not run for the U.S. Senate this year.

PHOENIX, AZ — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey will not run for U.S. Senate, according to a report.
Ducey, a Republican told donors in a letter to donors early Thursday obtained by The Arizona Republic, Ducey said, he'd have to really want the job if he was going to run for public office.
“Right now I have the job I want, and my intention is to close my years of service to Arizona with a very productive final legislative session AND to help elect Republican governors across the country in my role as chairman of the Republican Governors Association," Ducey said.

National and local GOP leaders, as well as wealthy donors were recruiting the governor to run against Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly.
