- Arizona candidate Kari Lake's campaign called Phoenix police and FBI to their headquarters, where a staffer opened a suspicious package containing white powder. There are no injuries in connection to the incident, according to police. Hazmat and bomb squad units also arrived, but officials have released no further details about the substance. - Police arrested two suspects concerning the death and dismemberment of an 80-year-old Phoenix man. Thomas Wallace, the victim's former roommate, is being held on a $1 million cash bond for suspicion of second-degree murder, concealing a dead body, theft of means of transportation, and trafficking in stolen property. Police are charging Romana Gonzalez with suspicion of fraud and theft. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
- The pandemic greatly impacted bars and restaurants nationwide, but Downtown Phoenix has seen significant growth in restaurant openings, especially in the last few months. Even with inflation rising, 15 establishments are expected to open soon downtown. (AZ Big Media)
