PHOENIX, AZ —The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Monday that the left-field space previously home to Friday's Front Row Sports Grill will become a Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers and Bourbon & Bones cocktail lounge this summer.

Friday's had been a part of the stadium since it opened as Bank One Ballpark in 1998.

But the space, which features a suspended patio that overlooks the field, will switch to the growing local brand Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers, which began in Scottsdale 10 years ago and will have 13 local outlets once the Chase Field location opens.

The chain is owned by restaurant group Square One Concepts, and the Chase Field outlet also will include another one of the group's brands: Bourbon & Bones cocktail lounge. The lounge is set to open soon after the new burger joint. It will be the second Bourbon & Bones location.

"I am thrilled to work with the popular Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers concept to bring a new and incredible guest experience to Chase Field," D-backs President and CEO Derrick Hall said. "The plans for this space are very exciting and it promises to be a one-of-a-kind destination in the ballpark."

According to the D-backs, Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers will span approximately 12,000-square feet, which includes the 2,500-square-foot suspended patio. There will be multiple dining levels, a full bar area and wall-to-wall TVs.

The venue will welcome guests seven days a week. No specific date has been announced for the restaurant's opening.

"This is a special opportunity for us to raise the bar for both Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers and D-backs fans," said Barrett Rinzler, founder and CEO of Square One Concepts. "There is no other place in the valley where one can meet up with family or friends any day of the week to enjoy items from our scratch-made kitchen, as well as drinks, with a view of a major league ballpark."

In honor of the partnership, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers announced that every day until April 6, it will surprise a few lucky customers at each of its current locations with tickets to the D-backs' April 7 Opening Day game against the San Diego Padres.

In February, the D-backs and Caesars Entertainment, Inc. announced that a Guy Fieri restaurant will be opening in the Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field. It will be Fieri's first sit-down restaurant in Arizona.

Fieri, the celebrity chef and restaurateur, already has five Flavortown Kitchens —a delivery-only chain — located in the Valley.
