Driver Of Broken Down Truck Dies After Truck Is Hit: Police
The truck Gerardo Vasquez had been driving was on or near the road when an SUV struck it, police said.
PHOENIX, AZ — A 59-year-old man died Tuesday after he and his broken-down truck were hit in the 6400 block of McDowell Road, according to Phoenix police.
Gerardo Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Vasquez's silver truck, which was inoperable, was parked on or near McDowell Road at 7:22 Tuesday evening, police said.

An SUV traveling on McDowell Road hit the truck, and the resulting collision struck Vazquez, who was outside of the truck, police said.
