Nonstop flights from Phoenix to London are back!

British Airways restarted nonstop flights from Phoenix to London on Tuesday.

PHOENIX, AZ — London, here we come. After a year-and-a-half hiatus, British Airways on Tuesday restarted nonstop flights from Phoenix to London.

“British Airways has been a key partner to the city of Phoenix and Sky Harbor International Airport for more than 20 years,” said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego in a news release from Phoenix Skyharbor International Airport. “This flight will contribute to the growth of our economy, while providing travelers with a nonstop connection to Europe. We are proud of the world class service we are able to provide Phoenicians and visitors from all around the world.”

The flights, on a Boeing 777-200 with room for 272 passengers, are set for three times per week and will land at London's Heathrow Airport.

This is British Airways' 25th year serving Phoenix.

“Welcome back British Airways! Sky Harbor passengers are lucky to once again have direct access to one of the world’s premier international airlines,” said District 6 Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio in the news release. “I look forward to seeing where this partnership will go in the coming years.”
