Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:

  1. Gasoline in the Phoenix area is almost 50 cents higher than the national average. The most expensive gas in Arizona is currently in Maricopa County, where it averages $4.54 per gallon. Prices have risen recently due to perceived fears of limited Russian gas supply. (KJZZ)
  2. Phoenix Rescue Mission's annual "Frozen Turkey Saturday" will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. today at the food bank on 5605 North 55th Ave. in Glendale. The event aims to collect 1,500 turkeys. The donated poultry will be distributed to local families during the organization's Thanksgiving Outreach Event. (KTAR.com)
  3. The Phoenix Police Department has released body camera footage of a man being beaten by department officers. The incident occurred on Oct. 27 at a QuickTrip store near 59th Avenue and Buckeye Road. The footage was edited before its release and includes additional information regarding what officers claim happened during the incident. Click the link for the footage.
