'Judgy Cat' Is Arizona's Newest Internet Cat Crush
Move over Grumpy Cat, Arizona has a new internet-famous cat to fawn over.

PHOENIX — When Grumpy Cat died at the age of 7 just over a year ago, the Arizona legend left a hole in the internet’s cat-sized heart. But that space might just be filled by a new feline from the Grand Canyon State.
"Judgy Rodger" drew attention from sites like Reddit thanks to his official adoption photo from the Arizona Humane Society. In the photo, his disapproving side-eye is filled with "cattitude" even Grumpy Cat would approve of.
Humane Society workers told Arizona's Family the picture accurately matched Judgy Rodger's disposition when he first arrived at the shelter.

“[He was] very sassy, was not sure of all of us, and he just wasn't here for it,” AHS Public Relations Manager Bretta Nelson told the outlet.
Rodger had an issue with hissing and swatting, as well as hiding from employees and volunteers during his early days at AHS. A behavioral health specialist introduced him to another kitten and his mood improved.

“Luckily, he loves other kittens, so as soon as I gave him a friend, he turned into a very sweet, playful, pretty normal kitten,” the specialist, Valerie Stockton, said.
For those looking to adopt an internet-famous animal, they’ll have to wait for the next one to go viral: Rodger was recently adopted and is settling into his new Valley home. Lucky for them, the internet always delivers.
