Meet Your New Arizona Field Editor

Well, hello world!

My name is Christopher Boan. I'm the new field reporter/editor for Patch.com, covering the communities of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Tucson.

Please reach out to me if you have any story angles or tips, at christopher.boan@patch.com, as I want to make sure that I'm covering the aforementioned communities to the fullest extent possible.

A little about myself: prior to joining Patch, I worked for the Green Valley News & Sahuarita Sun, Tucson Local Media, the East Valley Tribune and ArizonaSports.com & KTAR.com.

I moved to the Grand Canyon State after graduating from Colorado State University in 2014 and have loved it like no other place that I've lived.

My time in Tucson earned me 14 statewide awards for my work as a sports reporter. I have also covered the music scenes in Tucson and Phoenix extensively for the Tucson Weekly and Entertainer! Magazine.

When I'm not on deadline, my passions include hauling my 6-foot-5-inch frame up a mountainside and attending concerts and sporting events (whenever it's safe to do either once again).

One day, I hope to muster up the courage and/or free time to finally learn how to play the drums and banjo so I can put all my years of barroom karaoke to good use.
