Jonathan Nunez-Coronado, 5, and Victor Nunez-Coronado, 8, are believed to be with their biological father who may have fled to Mexico.
PHOENIX, AZ — An Amber Alert for two Phoenix boys believed to have been taken by their biological father remains in effect. Phoenix police believe the boys' father, Dimas Coronado, 47, may have fled to Mexico with the children.
According to AZ Central, an Amber Alert for the boys, Jonathan Nunez-Coronado, 5, and Victor Nunez-Coronado, 8, has been issued out of Mexico City. An arrest warrant has been issued for Dimas Coronado for three counts of homicide, a Phoenix police spokesman told Patch via email. The spokesman also said there were no updates in the case of Tuesday morning.
Dimas Coronado is wanted for murder in connection with the deaths of the boys' pregnant mother, Oralia Nunez, 24, and 34-year-old Omar Gonzalez, according to AZ Central. The paper also reported that Coronado and Nunez were married but had been estranged for two months. Officers responded as recently as Aug. 11 to Nunez's home for domestic violence calls, AZ Central says.
