- Passenger counts at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport are nearing pre-pandemic numbers. At the moment the numbers are only 7 percent below counts in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States. (KJZZ)
- Country music star Sam Hunt, rapper Macklemore and DJ and producer Kygo were announced as the headliner entertainment acts at the 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament in Scottsdale. The stars will perform at the Coors Light Birds Nest stage, on Feb. 9-12. The tournament is scheduled for Feb. 7-13. (AZFamily)
- School districts in Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale and beyond plan to continue with universal masking policies for staff and students after state a ban on mask mandates was nixed by a local judge on Monday. (Phoenix Patch)
- Phoenix is the 51st most innovative city in the world, according to a new study. The study used a business index to determine which cities across the globe are hubs for business innovation. The No. 1 city was San Francisco and the No. 2 was Beijing. (AZ Big Media)
- Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced that his Election Integrity Unit is looking into the audit of the 2020 Maricopa County election, the results of which were made public last week. (Patch)
