  1. The city of Phoenix adopted an updated climate action plan that sets out to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 or earlier and with the goal of reducing emissions 50 percent by 2030. The city's budget includes $2.8 million to fund climate staff, resources and investments. (AZ Big Media)
  2. The Maricopa County Attorney's Office changed its video evidence policy after stinging criticism for charging Black Lives Matter protesters as gang members. Now prosecutors are required to review any available video evidence before filing felony charges. (KJZZ)
  3. A group of Hispanic nurses in Phoenix plays a vital role in serving the Spanish-speaking population. The Phoenix Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses also brings together local Hispanic nurses to connect and communicate. The group recruits Hispanic nurses and helps form a sense of community among them. (12news)
  4. Our part of Arizona might not be known for its fall foliage, but other parts of the state are headed toward or are square in the middle of peak color.
