Woman Killed In Crash, 3 Run From The Scene: Phoenix Police
Police are investigating whether impairment was a factor in the collision.
PHOENIX, AZ — One woman is dead and four people were taken to a hospital after a crash between a Kia Soul and a Hyundai Sonata in Phoenix Sunday night, police said.
The woman who died was Cheryl Anderson, 63, a passenger in the Kia Soul, Phoenix police said. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the Kia was also taken to the hospital. The driver's condition was not known.

Of the six people in the Hyundai, four people including the driver were taken to the hospital for treatment, police said. One left without treatment, police said. Their conditions were not known.
Police are investigating whether the driver of the Hyundai was impaired.

Earlier, three of the passengers in the Hyundai Sonata ran from the scene of the collision, according to police. One person was found and was the passenger who refused treatment at the hospital, police said.
The Kia Soul was headed south on 45th Avenue and was attempting to turn left on Indian School Road when it collided with a Hyundai Sonata that was headed west on Indian School Road, police said.
