Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck On Cactus Road

Police say the pedestrian was crossing the street early Monday morning when he was hit.

PHOENIX, AZ — A man died early Monday morning after he was struck by a vehicle as he crossed Cactus Road on foot, Phoenix police said in a news release.

The pedestrian was crossing Cactus Road near its intersection with Cave Creek Road at 3:49 a.m. when he was hit, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said.
