Phoenix Firefighter Dies From COVID-19
Miguel Angulo is the first Phoenix firefighter to perish from the virus.

PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix firefighter Miguel Angulo died Monday after a long battle with COVID-19, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Angulo was the first Phoenix firefighter to die from COVID-19, the department said.
Angulo worked for the Phoenix Fire Department for 15 years, spending the majority of his career at Station 25 in Maryvale.

"Miguel was a dedicated public servant and family man who loved serving his community," the fire department said in a Facebook post. "He had a big personality and an even bigger heart. Miguel always brought great joy to his fellow Brothers and Sisters. We could always count on Miguel to provide joy with plenty of laughs, great conversation, and fellowship."
