Hiker Rescued From Camelback Mountain

The Phoenix Fire Department found and rescued an overheated hiker.

PHOENIX, AZ — An overheated hiker was rescued from Camelback Mountain Tuesday afternoon, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Rescuers flew the hiker down from the mountain around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to fire officials.

Technical Rescue Teams made their way up the Echo Canyon Trail and found the hiker at 1 p.m. about halfway up the trail, fire officials said.

It was sunny in Phoenix Tuesday afternoon with highs in the upper 90s.
