Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Storm Headed For Maricopa County
A storm was headed toward Phoenix Tuesday evening.
PHOENIX, AZ — The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Maricopa and Pinal counties early Tuesday evening.
The warning was issued at 5:19 p.m. and was set to expire at 6 p.m.
There was a possibility of up to two-inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

People and animals outdoors could be injured and structures and vehicles could sustain damage, the weather service said.
The warning includes the communities of Phoenix, Chandler, Avondale, Goodyear, Sun Lakes, South Mountain Park, Bapchule, South Phoenix, Rainbow Valley, Firebird Lake, Santan and Komatke, according to the weather service.
