- A man was hospitalized Saturday following a shooting on the Valley Metro Light Rail downtown. The individual is said to be hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries; no other injuries associated with the shooting have been reported. Police say they have gathered information on a possible suspect; however, they have not publicly identified the suspect or the victim as of Sunday afternoon. (KPNX 12 News)
- An 80-year-old woman and 20 dogs were rescued from a north Phoenix house fire. On Saturday afternoon, fire officials responded to the call near 39th Ave. and Bell Rd., where they found the dogs inside metal cages and were able to remove them from the home. The 80-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. (Arizona's Family)
- The National Weather Service is predicting a dry winter for Phoenix and the state of Arizona. According to the Climate Prediction Center's most recent Winter Outlook report, the state can expect a "triple dip La Niña" — meaning the season will likely be warmer and drier than usual. In light of the ongoing drought across the Southwest, experts recommend residents continue to take water-saving measures where possible. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
