Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:
- A dog involved in a recent animal cruelty case is now up for adoption. According to the Arizona Humane Society, Sheila is a one-year-old German shepherd. She was brought to the shelter by the Phoenix Police Department after being dragged behind a truck. The suspect in the incident has been arrested. (Arizona's Family)
- The FBI has removed Phoenix's Jason Derek Brown from the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. Brown was the main suspect in a 2004 murder of a Phoenix armored car guard. He was removed from the list because there have not been any reports of his whereabouts or recent illegal activity. Despite his removal from the list, the bureau will continue its search for Brown. - The Phoenix Police Department reports locating a dead man with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle on Sunday. Josh Martinez Ramirez, 25 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene near Indian School Road and 43rd Avenue. The department has opened an investigation into his death. (KTAR.com)
