Here are the top stories in Phoenix today:
- The greater Phoenix market recently broke several industrial real estate records. The Phoenix area was No. 2 in the nation for job creation in the third quarter, just behind Dallas-Fort Worth. Industrial space vacancies in greater Phoenix decreased significantly over the last quarter and the last year, hitting the lowest level ever recorded of 5.2 percent. (AZ Big Media)
- A Mexican wresting school in Phoenix is keeping the tradition of Lucha Libre alive locally. The school aims to teach local luchadores (wrestlers) the basic traditional techniques. (12news.com KPNX)
- Amazon is hiring to fill more than 150,000 seasonal part-time and full-time jobs, and 6,200 of those are in Arizona. Those jobs are in addition to the 7,500 Amazon jobs already listed in Arizona in September. The jobs have a starting pay of $18 per hour. (Phoenix Patch)
- The Harvest Moon festival at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Phoenix is a thanksgiving celebration of sorts for nature, crops, food and rain. During the festival this weekend the gardens will be decorated with bamboo installations, candles, lanterns and calligraphy displays. (The Arizona Republic)
