3 Dead, 1 Injured In Early Morning Shooting

Two groups of men shot at each other in a parking lot after a business transaction gone wrong, police said.

PHOENIX, AZ — Two men and a teenager are dead and one teenager is injured after an early morning shooting near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

A fifth man who was not injured is in police custody, said Phoenix Police Department Sgt. Andy Williams.

Phoenix police believe that the shooting happened after the two groups of men and teenagers met in a parking lot to make some sort of business transaction set up via Facebook, Williams said. The situation escalated, and both groups fired at each other, he said.

Police are still in the preliminary stages of investigating the shooting, police said, but they believed that everyone involved in the shooting is accounted for.
