PHOENIX, AZ — It could be another wet one this week for the greater Phoenix area, with some relief from the sweltering temperatures of the past few days.
There is potential for heavy rain most of this week, due to Monsoon weather Monday and Tuesday and owing to Tropical Storm Nora Wednesday and Thursday, the National Weather Service reported.
While most of the United States has been focused on powerful Hurricane Ida, which hit Louisiana on Sunday, Tropical Storm Nora battered the western coast of Mexico and headed north with the potential to impact weather in the western United States. Nora was downgraded from a Hurricane to a tropical storm on Sunday.

Storm totals of more than 1 inch are possible Wednesday and Thursday due to the tropical storm, the weather service said in a Facebook post.
