Virtual Aviation Business Summit To Be Held in February
The free event welcomes companies and individuals interested in business opportunities at Sky Harbor, Deer Valley or Goodyear airports.

PHOENIX, AZ —The City of Phoenix Aviation Department has announced it will be hosting a two-day virtual Aviation Business Summit next month. The department operates Sky Harbor Airport, Deer Valley Airport and Goodyear Airport.
"The two-day event is designed to give interested businesses the opportunity to learn, network and understand the tools available for doing business with (the City of Phoenix Aviation Department airports)," the department said in a statement.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 22, and will feature a Bidding Bootcamp from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the following day. The latter is hosted in partnership with the Equal Opportunity Department and the Arizona Chapter Associated General Contractors of America.

Among the topics expected to be covered at this year's event are:
- A review of upcoming business opportunities
- Information on the City of Phoenix Aviation Department's procurement process
- A review of the different certification programs
- How to navigate the department's badging process
The event also will have opportunities to network and interact virtually with aviation department staff, community partners and businesses partners through virtual exhibitor booths, according to organizers.

The summit is free and open to anyone interested in doing business with the airports. Companies are encouraged to register in advance, which can be done online.
